Ebusiness Forum
Definition
Ebusinessforum is a permanent mechanism of consultation between the State and the business/academic community aiming at the elaboraition of views and proposals that promote electronic entrepreneurship in Greece as well as the diffusion of e-business in the Greek enterprises. Executives from all business fields participate in the Forum–with emphasis in the ICT field- from University and Research Institutions, from the Public sector as well as representatives of the social partners and the consumers. Among the 56 working groups that have operated since November of 2000 –in the frame of the forum- e-business has been approached from the institutional, technical, business, finance, sociological and political point of view.

Objectives:
STATISTICAL OBSERVATION: Research conduct for the production of reliable data supporting the project of the Working Groups as well as the design of actions.
CONSULTATION: Of the state with the business and academic community
PROPOSALS TO THE STATE: Formation of flexible and applicable policy actions, for e-business, proposals for the institutional framework
INFORMATION-SENSITIZATION-PROMOTION: Informative – Educational one day sessions, sensitizationoftheMedia, publication of practical Guides, Counsels, Codes of Ethics.
INTERCONNECTION TO INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVES: e-Europe, IST, DGINFSO-ENTERPRISE, programs for the Balkans and South-Eastern Europe.
